Back in May, I attended the Ultimate Marketing Seminar that was held in Sydney over a weekend. At that event I met an excellent speaker called Ari Galper. He talked about Creating The Human Touch With A Live Chat System and it got me really excited about the benefits of using a system like this. I was very intrigued and decided to email Ari and asked him if he would do an interview with me and share with you his strategy and systems. Therefore this interview came about. Before we get into the interview, let me tell you a little about Ari first..
Ari Galper – Creator Of ChatWise
Ari Galper is a very well known and sought-after international speaker and trainer. When I emailed him to do an interview he was travelling over to the UK to promote his Chatwise system and it wasn’t until a month later when we could do this interview. So his a busy man!
Furthermore, Ari has a decade of experience showing people his breakthrough sales strategies used in global companies such as UPS and QUALCOMM. He also created the sales training program called Unlock The Game™, where this system helps businesses convert more sales online via an online chat system such as Chatwise. It’s one of the most widely used programs with large businesses.
Our Internet Secrets: How To Create Membership Sites
June 16, 2009 by Tyrone
On Friday I attended Andrew and Daryl Grant’s 4 day workshop in Sydney called Our Internet Secrets. I was very fortunate to attend this event and have to thank Yaro Starak from Entrepreneur’s Journey again for giving me 1 out of the 20 tickets. This course is normally $1,995.00, so I was very grateful to attend as a guest. Over the 4 days there were a lot of excellent speakers on top of having Andrew and Daryl speak. All of the speakers that presented is part of the Our Internet Secrets faculty group and if you are a member of this program you get access to them. Some of the speakers were: Yaro Starak, Bret Thomson, Darren Stephens, Greg Cassar, Paul Blackburn and Janet Beckers.
Each of them brought different their unique expertise and shared with the audience on how they created and achieved great success with their Internet Businesses. I was particularly interested to learn about how Andrew and Daryl Grant set up a very successful multi-million dollar business using their eBook and membership site strategies. These were just a couple of components that were part of their game plan. For example a goal they achieved were:
- Having a membership site with 1,000 members paying $49 a month over 12 months (Income of $588,000 a year)
- Selling 20 Internet Business packs per month at seminars for $3,000 each over 12 months (Income of $600,000 a year)
These were two of the strategies that intrigued me the most and it did make sense that it was possible to make a million dollars a year. You might be wondering how did they do this? Well, I am going to share with you the first goal they accomplished.
Creating A Membership Site
As Andrew and Daryl points out, they have a membership site that could be created and launched within 3 days. For me that is unheard of because I would be thinking where do you get the content so fast? This got me really excited and I wanted to learn how they did it! Before you could start creating a membership site you need to understand what is currently available in the market and how to make yours different, so you will stand out. Well, lets explore what are some of the problems most membership sites have in common:
- Can take 6 months or more to set up before it makes any money.
- Members stay an average of only 2-3 months, so you don’t get a recurring income
- Most membership site software is designed by and for people with a US company and bank account.
- Can be expensive to set up, depending on the software you use.
Learning From The Best Australian Marketers
June 1, 2009 by Tyrone
Over the weekend I attended a seminar held by Universal Events called The Ultimate Marketing Seminar. It was a three day event and there were a lot of great speakers that presented fantastic content. As this was a free event, I was aware that each presenter would be offering something at the end, and most of their presentation was a long sales letter geared around their products. Nevertheless, I still attended because I heard Brad Fallon, Adam Ginsberg and John Carlton were going to be there and I wanted to see their presentations and meet them in person. Amongst them, I was also introduced to a few other speakers who I have not heard before such as Siimon Reynolds, James Schramko, and Ari Galper. I was very impressed to say the least and also took away some really simple concepts and when applied to the business will increase revenue substantially. This is what I wanted to share so keep reading.
Siimon Reynolds Recession Proof Strategy
Siimon’s presentation really captured me from the start. He gave an excellent opening talking about his plane trip to Australia on how branding and perception plays a vital role in the business. He did present a very cheesy story and you had to be there to see it. If you don’t know who Siimon Reynolds is, here’s a little background on him:
“Regarded as one of the most respected names in marketing, Siimon has lectured nationally to over 30,000 business people and appeared on numerous television and radio shows. He has won almost every major advertising award for creative thinking in the world including the Golden Lion at Cannes and the Grand Prize at the London International Advertising Awards.
Siimon co-founded OMON Ltd when he was just 23. Within four years Omon had won Agency of the Year twice. In 1989 OMON opened in New York and was voted one of New York’s five most creative new agencies by the New York Times. Its clients included Toyota, Phillip Morris and the Trump Organisation. In 1993 Siimon opened Andromeda, which within 2 years won the highest advertising award in the world – the Grand Prix at Cannes. Andromeda, Australia’s only publicly listed advertising agency was bought by John Singleton and Siimon was appointed Executive Director and board member. In 1996 Siimon bought half of VCD, which within one year grew by 500% and won 1997 Advertising Agency of the Year.
Siimon Reynolds was a Director of the Photon Group and Executive Chairman of the Group’s subsidiary, Love Communications from its 1999 establishment until 2007. He continues with the group as a Strategic Creative Advisor and as Chairman of the Photon Foundation which provides pro-bono marketing assistance to selected charities.”
Universal Events and Christopher Howard Training
Siimon said there were only three ways to grow a business:
- Get new customers
- Get your current customers to spend more
- Get your current customers to come back more often
Brendan Nichols Back In Sydney
April 27, 2009 by Tyrone
Last Thursday evening, Pow Wow Events held a seminar in Sydney with Brendan Nichols titled, Make More Money in Your Business Now. I attended the seminar to see what new ideas Brendan would share and it was a fantastic night.
The seminar ran for 2 hours and it was a jam packed room filled with people from full time jobs all the way to small and medium businesses. A majority of the people were from small businesses and were looking for ways to improve their current business situation due to a slowing economy. I personally thought it was an excellent time to prosper because a lot of businesses were going under (not good for them) and therefore competition is reduced.
How I Came To Know Brendan Nichols?
I have known Brendan for about 2 years now, which was at the time I took over the Dragonboat business from my business partner. I have attended his events, been part of his Inner Circle program and generated a lot of cash for my businesses from his information. Brendan is known as Australia’s laziest entrepreneur and has worked with the likes of great business trainers such as Tom Hopkins and Robert Kiyosaki. The techniques he teaches is powerful and he’s used these same techniques himself to create three massively successful businesses. These businesses have produced large amounts of cash profits and required him to work less than 10 hours a week. A lifestyle most people dream of….
What Did Brendan Teach At The Seminar?
The most important idea that everyone would have learnt from the seminar is the Nexus Point. Here is how Brendan defines the Nexus Point:
The only time a business makes money is when engaged in the NEXUS POINT. The nexus point is when you or your agent (website, salesperson, advertising etc) meets a client or customer. While accounting, paperwork, team meetings etc are essential, none of these endeavours create a nexus point opportunity – the opportunity to make money. There are only two areas that create a nexus point: Sales and Marketing. These are the only two areas that can actually make you money.
“Marketing is getting them to the door, Sales is getting them through the door.”
Once again, the main focus of what a business owner must be doing daily is to focus on the activities that will bring in the sales and profits. The rest we should be delegating and outsourcing to others. Furthermore what I have realised over the years is that other people can do the same task better than myself and generate a better result. This leaves me to focus on sales and marketing for the business.
Other points Brendan briefly ran through that gave me more clarity that night were:
- The Morale Factor - a lot businesses are feeling scared and cutting their marketing expenses in this current economic climate. This means that competition has been reduced and many new business can come in quite easily to take market share.
- Create An Experience – consumers and your customers are willing to pay for a great experience and it is justified when you deliver.
- The Value 10 Principle – Create a product or service that you can deliver 10x the value of what they are paying for.
As always at the end of the seminar, Brendan promotes his Entrepreneur’s Boot Camp and the addtional products you can buy to help you achieve success. If you want to find more information, visit Brendan Nichols dot com.

Delicious Buffet Dinner And Breakfast
April 6, 2009 by Tyrone
Over the weekend, my partner and I celebrated our anniversary at the Sheraton and Hilton Hotels in Sydney. We are very fortunate to have time and share special moments together during the week. I woke up this morning looking out the window over George Street and saw how busy the streets were with people rushing off to work, whilst we lay in bed watching TV. (This is what an Internet business allows you to do).
For our anniversary yesterday, we treated ourselves staying the night at the Hilton hotel. Then for dinner we had a delicious buffet at Sheraton On The Park. Being only five minutes walk from the Hilton hotel we strolled up the street to the Sheraton to take our 7pm booking. We enjoyed a huge selection of fresh seafood: lots of prawns and oysters, hot food including Barramundi, roast pork and turkey, a selection of cheeses, and the most scrumptious desserts.
After dinner we went back to the Hilton hotel to enjoy a bottle of champagne that was given to us complimentary from the staff at the Hilton. Before we knew it, after having a relaxing shower and rolling down the electric blinds, we fell asleep on the comfortable King size bed and slept like babies.
As part of the package included in our stay, the Hilton included a complimentary breakfast buffet on level 2. I felt like a king when one of the waiters gave us his full attention and provided excellent service. Thank you Gordon! I could not have asked for more this morning enjoying a gourmet cooked breakfast of ham and mushroom omelette, hash browns, pork sausages, Belgian waffles and grilled tomatoes. It was the most memorable breakfast dining experience I have ever had.
I would love to hear your comments below of excellent places you have been to dine at.
